THE Combined Probus Club of Narre Warren celebrated its third birthday earlier this month with a special morning tea and birthday cake.
During the club meeting, Jim Carson was inducted as the new president for the Year 2006-07. Julie Roncon was named the new vice-president.
The club meets on the third Tuesday of the month at Castello’s Berwick Springs Hotel at 10.30am.
The next meeting will be on 16 May and the guest speaker will be from the Narre Warren SES.
The club is a mixed group of retirees and invites anyone interested, especially those who have retired recently, to attend.
Club members enjoy a wide range of activities from day trips and occasional overnight trips to walking groups, the Chinese board game Mahjong, morning coffee and art appreciation groups.
Probus provides a wonderful opportunity for retired members of the community to get together for social activities, to make new friends and to stimulate the mind with excellent guest speakers and informative activities.
