POLICE have released images taken from a taxi in which the driver was punched and robbed in Berwick last week.
The driver of the mini-bus cab was assaulted after stopping his taxi in High Street in the early hours of Sunday 17 February.
He was punched after his three passengers asked him to stop the vehicle.
The taxi driver had earlier collected the trio, along with four other men, from Melbourne.
Police said two of the men got out of the cab before the third man said he couldn’t pay the fare.
He then punched the driver and stole a small amount of cash from the driver’s shirt pocket.
Anyone with any information about the crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
