New Messenger gets people talking

Nick Verhaar
MSN Messenger would have to be one of the most popular and successful free instant messaging services to have ever become made available.
Allowing users to chat in real time online from anywhere in world, it provides a convenient way to easily keep in touch with friends, family and even coworkers no matter where you are or what time of day.
MSN Messenger has become so popular that millions of people all over the world now rely upon using it as an integral form of communication to help get them through their everyday lives.
Version 7.0 of the popular messaging service has recently been made publicly available for download, and includes many new features and visual enhancements, making it better and easier to use than ever.
Allowing people to communicate via text, voice, or even video conferencing, the new version also includes many other new features such as PC to mobile phone chats, and even allows users to host and promote their own blog sites via the service.
Many of the existing smilies and emoticon icons have also been revamped and now look better than ever.
Winks have also been introduced to the latest instalment, which allow users to go a step beyond the existing emoticon icons and actually send and receive cute little flash animated cartoons.
You can also create your own online photo galleries to share with friends and family with only a few mouse clicks.
If you’re an existing user of MSN Messenger and would like to check out the new MSN, head on over to http://download.microsoft.com and grab a copy of the latest and greatest 7.0 release.
If you don’t yet have an MSN Messenger account and would like to sign up, you will be required to also sign up for a Hotmail account, but simply pointing your browser to the above URL will ask all the relevant questions and take care of it all for you.
