FEDERAL Member for Holt Anthony Byrne MP has called on Casey residents to come out and celebrate the hard work and effort that parents put into their new and growing families.
Last week Mr Byrne officially announced the ‘Welcoming the Babies into Our Community Ceremony’, to be held on Sunday, 16 October at Westfield Fountain Gate.
Mr Byrne said the City of Casey had one of the highest registered birthrates in Victoria with more than 3000 registered births per year and it was important that the efforts of families were recognised.
“The efforts of families must be appreciated. Finding a balance between work pressures and spending time with family is more difficult then ever. Families need community support and acknowledgment,” he said.
“I want to acknowledge the contribution new families are making to our community by holding a family day celebration with entertainment for the kids and a ceremony for the parents where they will receive a certificate recognising their contribution to our community.”
To be eligible babies must be aged 018 months old and interested families must register before the event day by filling in a registration form available at Mr Byrne’s office at Shop HM 2B, 810 Overland Drive in Fountain Gate or Westfield Fountain Gate Customer Service Desks.
The forms can be dropped off at any of these places.
On the day, registered families should confirm their attendance at the registration desk in Westfield Centre Court between 1pm and 2pm.
