MATHS wizard Shaun Johnson has been crowned the winner of the national Kids WB Mathletics Challenge.
The 12-year-old Berwick boy won a laptop and iPod Touch after answering as many maths questions as he could within a specific time period during the competition.
Shaun appeared on the television show Kidz WB back in October and was invited to compete against the top four players in Australia last weekend.
The Grade 6 student atSt Catherine’s Catholic Primary School went to the Channel9 studios on Saturday and competed in the hour long internetmaths competition.
Shaun told the News he was happy he won the challenging competition.
Four other students from St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School finished in the top 100, and as a whole school team they were ranked seventh in Australia.
