MARAMBA Primary School students commemorated Anzac Day with a ceremony around their own lone pine tree.
Representatives from each class at the Narre Warren school placed flowers under the tree in memory of all Australians who had fought in war.
The whole school then paid their respects by listening to the Ode of Remembrance and the Last Post, then observing a minute’s silence.
The original Lone Pine was named after a single pine tree that grew on the site of the Gallipoli battle.
