President of the association Judith Saffigna said the parents had just as much fun as the children at its annual celebration and she was delighted to see so many grandparents and extended family.
Ms Saffigna said the event had been moved from a weekday to a Saturday to enable more fathers to come along and enjoy the day’s activities.
She said the Kazoos and Mr Silly had entertained the crowd on the day before Santa came along, giving out lollipops and taking photos with the children.
There was also a hat treasure hunt and a guess-the-lollies competition, in which the Holes family from Pakenham made the correct guess.
