Picture courtesy Stephen Monro, Pakenham SES.A BERWICK man had to be cut free on Sunday night following a two-car collision in Narre Warren.
Senior Constable Fi Blick of Casey’s Traffic Management Unit said motorists were brought to a standstill when the two Nissan Pulsars collided about 5.50pm at the corner of the Princes Highway and Monash Freeway, on the overpass bridge.
Police are still investigating the collision and Sen Const Blick said it was not yet known whether any charges would be laid.
Sen Const Blick said the drivers of both cars, a 19-year-old woman from Berwick and the 31-year-old man, had been taken to The Alfred Hospital for treatment.
She said both their injuries were non-serious, the woman experiencing minor leg injuries and the man a fractured arm.
The Pakenham SES Road Rescue Unit was called to the incident and used hydraulic rescue tools to free the man.
