Local tips boost business

WORD of mouth recommendations can be a business’s best friend.
And those at the Casey Referral Network (CRN) are doing their best to promote their fellow local business colleagues.
The non-profit organisation meets fortnightly and admits only one person from each profession.
CRN chairman Darius Mikolajewski said each member must participate in giving referrals during the course of their normal business.
“The goal of Casey Referral Network is to promote small business growth and development within the City of Casey,” Mr Mikolajewski said.
“The basic premise is that referrals are the most trusted potential lead available to all businesses and these lead to a higher sales conversion rate.
“If referrals are made genuinely and honestly, and properly followed up by members, this leads to greater customer satisfaction and increased business for all members of the network,” Mr Mikolajewski said.
However, CRN does more than help its own.
The organisation also helps out various community groups with donations and sponsorship. Kalimna Support Options and Christians Helping in Primary Schools (CHIPS) are just two valuable Casey-based groups that have received funding from CRN.
“The Casey Referral Network members believe it is important to put back into the community and have provided support to a number of local community organisations,” Mr Mikolajewski said.
The group meets every second Thursday at Sages Restaurant in Parkhill Plaza, Berwick at 7am with the next meeting on Thursday, 17 May.
