DOVETON Heights Primary School students took a step back in time recently.
The real life history lesson was all part of the school’s Ancient Civilisations day that resulted in the senior school students donning bandages and armour.
Teacher Buni Hasvong said the children participated in a range of activities to culminate their learning about the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans.
“There was plate painting, gold wall plaque making, dips, souvlaki and dried figs as well as sports such as relay, long jump and hockey,” Ms Hasvong said.
She said the children had been fascinated about the ancient times and the gods, goddesses, gladiators and mummies they had been learning about.
Student Lindsay said: “I have learnt that the Romans conquered many different countries.”
