THE sun came out last Wednesday when local children enjoyed a funfilled day
of activity at the Casey Christian Reformed Church in Narre Warren South.
More than 60 children turned out to the annual event and enjoyed making wool pompoms, crepe streamers and football badges in between jumps on the jumping castle.
Kim Bruinsma of Berwick helped organise the day and said the aim was to open the church’s doors and give children something constructive to do over the school holidays.
“The day was fantastic the sun came out and everyone had a great time.
“They really enjoyed the jumping castle and a lot of them made football badges and joined in the handball competition.
“This is the fourth time we have held this event and it is open to all children, not just ones that go to the church.
“It is just good to open up our doors and invite people in and have everyone mixing and having a good time together,” she said.
