Help wanted for families

VOLUNTEERS are the lifeblood of communities and the situation is no different in Doveton.
That is why officials at the Doveton North Family Resource Centre are calling on people who would like to work with local parents and young children.
The Doveton Early Years project is looking for interested people to give up their time to assist either in playgroup settings, at family events or by giving in-home support to families.
Coordinator Jeanette Miller said volunteers were asked to commit to a couple of hours per week for at least one year. “Our volunteers have the satisfaction of knowing that they have made a difference in the lives of parents and young children,” she said.
Anyone wanting further information can contact Jeanette on 9701 3456.
