Gunman terrorises attendant

A TEENAGE shop attendant was held at gunpoint during a violent armed robbery at a Narre Warren store last Friday night.
Police said a balaclava-clad gunman entered the Narre Warren Supercheap Auto outlet at about 8.30pm and grabbed the young employee around the back of the neck.
The robber then pointed the small handgun at the attendant and dragged him across the shop to the cash register where he demanded the money.
The attacker put the cash into a plastic bag and then fled south towards the Princes Highway.
Detective Senior Constable Craig Small of Frankston’s Embona taskforce said it was a violent and aggressive attack that had left the young boy traumatised.
He said the employee was physically uninjured during the robbery.
“Just prior to the offence two cars drove past the entrance of the store. The people in those cars may have seen the offender enter the store,” Det Sen Const Small said.
Police described the attacker as being 180cm tall, of medium build and wearing a black balaclava.
Anyone with any information about the crime is asked to contact Frankston Embona on 9784 5543 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
