Grand finals unfold at Casey Fields

THE Dandenong and District Junior Football League (DDJFL) will hold 20 grand finals this Sunday at Casey Fields, spanning over five grounds, with the under-16s, under-15s and Youth Girls finals to be played on Casey’s VFL ground.
The day will be one of largest events The City of Casey has hosted and DDJFL’s general manager, Shaun Connell, said the location of this year’s finals is a bonus for the league.
“The fact that this year we are playing at Casey Fields is very exciting for us,” he said.
“It’s going to be a wonderful day for the community and we hope everything runs smoothly.”
This year, 17 different clubs from under 10s through to under 16s have all qualified for a grand final berth, which includes more than 300 players and among them, 24 teams from the City of Casey will be represented.
The U16 division one grand final between Narre North Foxes and Cranbourne Blues will be broadcast live on 3SER radio from 1pm onwards.
