Eumemmerring College students welcomed German exchange students Eumemmerring College students welcomed German exchange students

EUMEMMERRING College got a taste for Germany recently when it welcomed German exchange students to its four campuses.
The 13 students and three teachers spent three weeks in Melbourne and took in the sights and sounds of some of the city’s most famous landmarks and attractions.
Healesville Sanctuary and Ballarat’s goldfields at Sovereign Hill were just a few of the many highlights throughout their trip.
The students from Melibokuschule and Gutenburgschule school in Germany were hosted by Eumemmerring College families and also attended classes with their host brothers and sisters.
A Eumemmerring staff member said the touring party got a lot out of their visit to Casey and surrounding areas.
“All the German exchange students thoroughly enjoyed their time at Healesville where they had the opportunity to meet some of our Australian wildlife.
“They have also enjoyed being entertained by their host families throughout their stay here and have forged relationships with these families which will last for many years to come,” she said.
Eumemmerring College students will soon be flying to Germany to reunite with their fellow students and their families and will also spend a weekend sightseeing in Berlin.
