STUDENTS at Hillsmeade Primary School in Narre Warren South are getting into the spirit of the Commonwealth Games, having been presented with a special Games flag.
Narre Warren South MP Dale Wilson attended a flag raising ceremony and assembly at the school last Friday to make the presentation.
Grade three students Mitchell and Meagan spoke at the assembly about the significance and symbolism of the Commonwealth Games flag and the protocol associated with flag raisings.
The pair also explained that they had been practising raising and lowering the flag every morning and afternoon on the school’s new flagpole.
