Funding boost for youth

CASEY’S youth services will be better supported following $150,000 in State Government funding.
The City of Casey’s Youth Participation and Access Program was among 100 across Victoria to share in a $12.3 million funding boost.
This project will focus on empowering multicultural young people to become an integrated part of the community by creating projects that will encourage them to take part in cultural, social and learning opportunities.
Victoria’s Youth Affairs Minister James Merlino said the extra funding was a worthy investment as it provided practical support and guidance to young people.
“Youth Participation and Access programs aim to level the playing field by giving vulnerable young people new opportunities to showcase their strengths and get involved to make a difference in their community,” he said.
