FIREBUGS continue to frustrate local police with another fire deliberately lit in Berwick.
The latest blaze last Saturday burnt five metres of wooden noise barriers next to the Monash Freeway.
Police said the fire was started between 1pm and 1.20pm on the freeway side of the barriers opposite Yandilla Court.
The fire caused about $5000 damage and burnt out a large amount of scrub and grass.
The freeway fire comes on top of two deliberately lit fires in Berwick a fortnight ago.
Beaconhills College was targeted when a large grass heap was set on fire and Brentwood Park Primary School had almost $15,000 damage caused to a burnt shade sail.
Narre Warren Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox again warned people of the extreme consequence that can result from playing with fire.
