PREPS at Southern Cross Primary School have been busy making new friends as part of a buddy program that pairs them up with older students.
Composite and grade 3/4 teacher Dr Andree Rodwell said the program offered friendship and support and developed confidence in the prep students through participating in activities with their grade 3/4 buddies.
She said the buddy program not only enhanced students’ social skills but extended their knowledge in many areas of the curriculum within the school.
