Evermore to rock Hallam

THE glory days of the Hallam Hotel may be on the way back with New Zealand rockers Evermore set to take to the stage next week.
Evermore will play at the iconic pub next Wednesday, 26 September, as part of their regional Real Live tour.
The Hallam show is one of 21 gigs the band will play as the tour extends through New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.
Evermore burst on to the scene in 2004 with the three brothers Jon, Dann and Peter Hume taking Australian audiences by storm.
The four singles from Evermore’s double platinum album Real Life have become firm fixtures on the charts and have received plenty of radio airplay.
Dann, the band’s drummer, said he was excited about the regional tour and the intimacy the group would get with its audience.
“Regional tours are very fun loving. They’re quite relaxing compared to the city shows,” he said.
Dann was also quick to dismiss the notion of travelling rock bands creating all sorts of fun while on the road.
“We are not really big party animals. I don’t really see the point. Maybe if we get a couple of days’ break between shows we might go out.”
Evermore’s appearance at the Hallam comes hot on the heels of a performance by Australian band Thirsty Merc.
With more big shows in the pipeline the Hallam Hotel may soon reclaim its spot as one of the better live music venues around town.
For tickets to the show or more information contact the Hallam Hotel on 8786 0200.
