ELLA Stevens had 104 reasons to smile recently.
The Berwick resident celebrated her 104th birthday at a Berwick nursing home with a party with family and friends who all paid tribute to a woman who has seen more than most throughout her life.
Growing up in Kent, in south-eastern England, Ms Stevens remembers news of the Titanic sinking and lived through World War I and II before migrating to Australia in 1969.
The keen gardener settled in Hampton before moving to Berwick late last year to be closer to family.
With a strong belief in the Christian faith, Ms Stevens regularly attended the Hampton Baptist Church before moving to Casey.
Ms Stevens has four grandchildren and eight great grand children and continues to be in good health for someone well into their second century of life.
