JAMES Hird called into Fountain Gate last week and the superstar proved he is as graceful signing books as he is on the football field.
Hird was at the Angus and Robertson Bookstore to promote his new book, Reading the Play, and spent time chatting to the hundreds of fans who lined up to have a copy of the book signed.
The 33-year-old Essendon legend and Brownlow Medallist will play his 16th season in 2007.
Reading the Play is described as a fascinating account of Hird’s life and presents his opinion on the game he loves so much.
