NARRE Warren Police say they are pleased with the latest crime figures that reveal a drop in the number of serious incidents recorded this month.
Assaults, burglaries and motor car thefts are all well down in the first half of March, according to Narre Warren Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox.
“If we keep going with this trend we will be very happy,” Det Sen Sgt Wilcox said.
“The way we are tasking our members and how we are targeting areas is having some impact.”
He said the recruitment of a specialist tactical analysis officer about 12 months ago was proving to be a vital crime fighting resource.
“It enables us to straight away get a good profile on an area or a person we are looking at,” he said.
