A HAMPTON Park family is thankful they weren’t home last Monday morning when a car ploughed through their house.
Police said the out-of-control vehicle careered into the lounge room of the Pinnacle Way property at about 9.30am.
Paramedics were called to the scene and treated the driver of the vehicle, a Hampton Park woman in her 40s, for shock.
No one else was injured in the incident.
Hallam, Hampton Park and Dandenong CFA officers attended the scene and helped stabilise the property.
A local building inspector was also called to assess the damage to the house.
Casey Traffic Management Unit members were investigating the accident.
