Cranbourne buckles to Buckley bats

CRANBOURNE Cricket Club’s turf-one side went down when it failed to contain Buckley Ridges’ bats on day two on Saturday.
Score: Buckley Ridges 162 d Cranbourne 120 and 0/16.
With Buckley Ridges starting the day on 1/51 Cranbourne made good early progress and had the opposition at 7/94 before it consolidated and ended with 162.
Batting highlights: Mathew Moore 39, Andrew Toan 21 and Dan Hunt 18.
Bowling highlights: Mathew Moore 5/32, Ross Woodall 1/18 and Dan Hunt 3/4.
TURF THREE
Score: Cranbourne 166 and 4/68 d Buckley Ridges outright 50 and 183.
Batting highlights: first innings Nick Eurell 59 and Aaron Morrison 21. Second innings Nick Eurell 20, Ash Adams 20 not out and Aarn Morrison 10 not out.

Score: Maranatha Methodist 206 d Cranbourne 204.
Batting highlights: Gav Adams 30 and Steve Redgen 45, Wil Hameeteman 28 not out.
Bowling highlights: Wil Hameeteman 5/46 and Brad Stephens 2/40.
Cranbourne was in control with a 72-run opening stand between Gav Adams and Steve Redgen. A batting collapse followed with the score at 7/130 before a late fightback by the tail with Wil Hameeteman making 28 not out.
Cranbourne fell two runs short.
D GRADE
Played at: North Dandenong
Score: Cranbourne 146 d North Dandenong 115.
Batting highlights: Dave McMillan 42.
Bowling highlights: Steven Henry 4/22 and Jason Kinane 3/25.
Cranbourne struggled with the bat and had one good batsman Dave McMillan who saved the game at a crucial point, to get the team across the line.
E GRADE
Played at: Camms
Score: Maranatha Methodist 131 d by Cranbourne 5/269.
Batting highlights: Shannon Parkin 79 and Murray Pratt 88.
Bowling highlights: Keeran Braham 3/10 and Troy Kimball 2/30.
Cranbourne resumed at 2/54 and lost the third wicket at 72 before Murray Pratt and Shannon Parkin were joined at the crease. It was a 119 run fourth-wicket partnership before Shannon was bowled for 79 and Murray Pratt bowled for 88.
The side ended up batting for 95 overs for an excellent result.
ONE-DAY GAME
Played at: Reedy Reserve
Score: Doveton North 7/124 off 36 overs d by Cranbourne 3/133
Batting highlights: K. Lindsay 52 not out and Shane Baker 35 not out.
Bowling highlights: C. Taylor 2/15, P. Andrews 2/20 and A. Courtney 2/26.
A good bowling and fielding performance restricted Doveton North to 124 off its 36 overs.
In reply Cranbourne was in trouble early at 3/16, but a fourth-wicket partnership of 109 helped bring the points home.

Score: Parkfield 10 for 131 def by Cranbourne

Shane Rees was brilliant in the field taking four catches.
UNDER 17 DIVISION TWO
Score: Cranbourne 118 d Berwick 89.
Batting highlights: Martin Kelly 26 and Chris Hale 23.

UNDER 15 DIVISION ONE
Score: Cranbourne 127 d by Hallam 5/147.
Batting highlights: Dean McDonell 26, Justin Hinkley 16 and Michael Buggy 17.
Bowling highlights: Wil Hameeteman 1/7 and Cam Kelly 1/7.
Batting First Cranbourne started reasonably well and
after 21 overs were 2/52.
However when Dean McDonell was dismissed for 26, wickets fell quickly and Cranbourne slumped to 6/73.
Defending 127 Cranbourne bowlers were good, but were unable to break through the Hallam batsmen.
UNDER 15 DIVISION TWO BLUE
Score: Berwick 85 d by Cranbourne 153.
Batting highlights: Lucas Ligt 29, G. James 22 and A. McInnes 41.
Bowling highlights: Steve McInnes 3/4 and Alex Packer 3/13.
Resuming at 3/47 Cranbourne got off to a steady start before Lucas lost his wicket for 29. At 6/77 Greg James and Andrew McInnes put on a great partnership of 55 runs. A good win by 63 runs.
UNDER 15 DIVISION TWO GOLD
Score: Narre Warren 105 d Cranbourne 64.

UNDER 15 DIVISION THREE
