CRANBOURNE Bowls Club continued its hot streak of form to down Ringwood by 19 shots with top-quality bowling in division-one pennant on Saturday.
Cranbourne won two rinks well with star skip Lyn Quigg’s rink again too hot for the opposition with an eight-shot win.
Skip Brian Gay was back in top form with an 18-shot win, with his rink.
With results falling Cranbourne’s way, they are now back in the race for top position.
Scores: Cranbourne 97 d Ringwood 78.

Cranbourne (2) won a close one when it finished strongly to snatch a two-shot win over top side Keysborough.
The Cranbourne side is showing great fighting spirit to match it with competition leaders after promotion from division-three this year. Cranbourne won three rinks and narrowly lost the fourth.

Cranbourne (3) continued to steamroll its opposition and this week took maximum points against Glen Waverley with a 52-shot win.
The big winners were the rink of Max Eames that won the club award with a 33-shot win.
Cranbourne remains a clear leader in its section.

Cranbourne (4) finished strongly in its match against Pakenham and led by three shots after 97 ends.
However Pakenham produced the shots over the final three ends to win by three shots overall. John MacInnes’s rink starred with an 11-shot win after bowling well throughout the match.
Scores: Cranbourne 89 lost to Pakenham 92.

Cranbourne (5) also suffered a three-shot loss when beaten at home by Vermont South.
The loss now puts this side’s position as one of the section leaders in jeopardy. Cranbourne won two rinks with skip Rob Sorensen’s team in top form for an 11-shot win.

Cranbourne (6) members were all smiles after a 12-shot win over Waverley Golf to take 14 much
needed points. Cranbourne won two rinks well with Nelson Mahon’s team producing some great bowls for a 16-shot win.

LADIES PENNANT
Cranbourne (1) produced some excellent bowling to defeat home side Beaumaris by 34 shots overall.
In a very convincing display, three Cranbourne rinks were successful, with Thelma Lennon and Shirley Venville’s rinks the stars. The respective teams won by 22 shots and 17 shots respectively.
Scores: Cranbourne 110 d Beaumaris 76.
T. Lennon 32-10, S. Venville 34-17, V. Bonney 25-24, L. Hine 19-25.
Cranbourne (2) enjoyed another solid victory when it defeated Moorabbin by 27 shots overall and continued its climb up the ladder.
Bernice Helle was superb in skipping her team to a decisive 29-shot win.

Cranbourne (3) were the only losers for the day with a nine-shot loss at Burden Park. Cranbourne was able to tie on one rink but Burden Park was too strong overall.
