ENDEAVOUR Hills student Clair Breyley is doing her best to give peace a chance.
The 13-year-old was recently named as the Australian winner of an International Peace Poster Contest, sponsored by the Endeavour Hills Lions and Lioness Clubs
Clair impressed the judges with her colourful rainbow-inspired design and was selected as the winner above 16 finalist and many more other entries.
“Your ears can hear peace, and your eyes can see it, but it is your heart that must follow it,” Clair said.
The Maranatha Christian School student was praised for her efforts by all the competition judges.
Lions Australian executive officer Rob Oerlemans said the judges were blown away by Clair’s entry.
“It is a beautiful contribution in its own right and I believe a great chance for the international prize,” Mr Oerlemans said.
Clair paid tribute to Endeavour Hills Lions members and thanked them for their encouragement and support.
“This opportunity is so fantastic. I feel as if I am contributing to future world peace and I hope that it becomes an awesome reality one day,” she said.
