Celebration as study awards comes of age

TO celebrate the 21st anniversary of the annual Australia Day Study Tour Awards, the City of Casey is hosting a celebration for past winners.
The first tour was in 1985 and since then 163 young people have received the Australia Day Study Tour Award, which recognises young people as valued, positive and important members of our community.
Year 11 students or young people of equivalent age living or studying in Casey may be nominated for the award, which provides the opportunity to learn and explore the three levels of Government in Australia Local, State and Federal.
To highlight the value and importance of these awards to young people and the community, and to celebrate the achievements of former recipients, the City of Casey is calling on previous winners from 1985 to 2005 to join a celebration on the evening of Friday, 21 October.
The City of Casey is expecting the night to be a key recognition of what has become an important local program.
For further information please contact Deilia Murray at the City of Casey on 9705 5200.
