JOHN Rosenthal is the new president of the Rotary Club of Berwick.
Rotary members welcomed Mr Rosenthal at the changeover dinner held at Castello’s Berwick Springs Hotel in Berwick on Thursday 25 June.
Some of the new president’s aims for the coming year include a focus on the club’s growth in membership and greater involvement with local youth through various projects and initiatives.
District governor Brian Norris inducted Mr Rosenthal as the new president on the night, handing over the symbolic Rotary collar.
Mr Rosenthal said he enjoyed the local and international projects led by Rotary.
“All of the projects have one aim – to make the world a better place,” Mr Rosenthal said.
“The Rotary Club of Berwick does a range of things in an effort to give back to the community such as standing on the street corner collecting money for the Red Cross, holding the monthly farmers market and running school debutante balls for Kambrya College and Berwick Secondary College.”
