Apple releases new range of iPods

Nick Verhaar
THE world we live in today is becoming increasingly dependent on computers and digital technology to get through our everyday lives, with digital portable media players becoming extremely popular among all crowds, young and old.
With the vast range of portable media players on the market sporting features such as MP3 playback, image viewing and now even video playback, it can be difficult choosing which brand and model are right for the individual customer.
However, one company which is definitely heads and shoulders above all the rest is Apple and its lovable range of iPods.
Catering for different needs and requirements, Apple has created three distinct and different models of the popular iPod, giving people the opportunity to choose which model best suits their needs.
At the bottom end of the scale is the iPod Shuffle.
Known for its extremely small size and lack of a screen, this little unit is perfect for people on the go.
Next in line is the iPod Nano, also famous for its small pencilthin size, however the Nano also sports a fullcolour screen and the ability to view images, making it very popular amongst students and regular travellers and train goers.
Lastly is the granddaddy of all portable media players – the fully featured iPod, which includes a large fullcolour screen, enormous hard disk storage capacities, MP3 playback, image viewing and video playback just to name a few of its excellent features.
Admittedly the iPod range does tend to be more expensive than similar offerings from other companies, but in a world where you get what you pay for, you are definitely paying for a much finer product in both build quality and useable features.
To learn more about Apple’s latest range of iPod then either visit the website www.apple.com/ipod or visit any local Apple store and take one for a test drive.
