TRACY Sinclair says the best part about being a crossing supervisor is working with children, their parents and feeling a sense of community worth.
Her commitment to her role at St Michaels in Berwick has earned her the School Crossings Victoria Supervisor of the Year Award.
City of Casey acting manager Community Safety Rod Bezanovic said Ms Sinclair was a worthy recipient.
“School crossing supervisors have an important task of ensuring the safety of children as they cross the municipality’s roads on their way to and from school,” he said.
“Tracy is a professional, capable and friendly individual and the fact she was awarded as the best school crossing supervisor in the state is testament to her fantastic commitment to providing outstanding customer service to the children and families who use her crossing.”
Twelve City of Casey school crossing supervisors were nominated for the School Crossings Victoria Supervisor of the Year Award, alongside many other deserving nominees from Frankston, Mornington Peninsula and Kingston.
Ms Sinclair said she signed up for the role three years ago and wants to continue into the future.
“For as long as I am able to!” she said.
