AUSTRALIAN of the Year nominations are being encouraged throughout the Federal electorate of La Trobe by Liberal MP Jason Wood.
“Nominating for Australian of the Year is a wonderful way of saying thank you to all those people that work tirelessly and who you believe makes this electorate an amazing place to live,” he said.
The Australian of the Year Award program includes Australian of the Year, Senior Australian of the Year (60 years and over), Young Australian of the Year (16 to 25 years) and Local Hero.
The Local Hero Award acknowledges a significant contribution at a local level.
Nomination forms are available at Commonwealth Bank branches, National Seniors’ Association branches, Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts, State and Territory Australia Day organisations, or by calling 1300 655 193. Nominations close on Monday 29 August.
