THE CARDINIA Shire Council has endorsed the Victorian Local Government’s Women’s Charter and named two councillors as Charter Champions.
Despite Cardinia not having any female councillors, the charter which aims to recognise the increased women’s participation in governance, gender equity and diversity, the motion to endorse it was supported by all councillors.
Councillors Collin Ross and Brett Owen were nominated as Charter Champions.
