Vehicle puts CFA in command

THE Pakenham CFA will receive a new Field Command Vehicle as part of a $6.8 million boost for the state’s emergency volunteers.
Emergency Services Minister Bob Cameron announced that the money would be shared between 120 local volunteer emergency service groups.
“We doubled the Community Safety Emergency Support Program (CSESP) funding this year and that’s been greeted with enthusiasm from local groups who will use the money to buy extra equipment ranging from tankers, to field command vehicles, storm and lighting trailers and search and rescue equipment,” Mr Cameron said.
“These grants allow local brigades, units, clubs and flotillas access to access additional funding for extra emergency equipment to help them carry out important work.”
The Pakenham CFA will receive a Nissan Patrol as part of the funding.
