WERE you born to lead? Is leadership in your blood?
The Cardinia Shire Council, in partnership with GippsTAFE, Leadership Psychology Australia and the Australian Human Resources Institute is calling on members of the community interested in leadership.
The Star News Group has got on board the breakfast Regional Leadership Series with a number of staff joining the program.
Managing director of the Star News Group, Paul Thomas said, “Star has got behind the course as it offers local businesses a relatively inexpensive course run locally”.
“Participants can be trained early and still be able to in workplace on the same day,” Mr Thomas said.
“Cardinia has many small and medium businesses that will gain from this opportunity. At Star we certainly believe this and will have a number of participants.”
Participants are being sought from local industry and business, education and training and community organisations to take part in the eight-week breakfast program.
The program will be hosted at the Cardinia Cultural Centre in Pakenham and aims to bring together people from a range of backgrounds to develop their strategic management, transformational leadership, organisational development and culture change skills.
Mayor Graeme Legge said the series was a wonderful opportunity for local businesses to learn from some of the best in the field.
“The program will challenge participants to reflect on their own leadership style and provides a supportive setting to develop skills and improve leadership capability.
The Cardinia Foundation has also backed the course, and will sponsor one lucky applicant for the eight-week course.
Written applications should be emailed to Brian Paynter at admin@cardiniafoundation.com.au.
Places in the program are strictly limited and cost $1695 per person, fully inclusive.
For more information on the course or to book your place, contact Jenny Smith at Cardinia Shire on 1300 787 624.
