Forum brings out good ideas

LOCAL families will be asked what could be done to improve their lives, at a community forum next week.
Members of the community are invited to attend the forum to discuss their experiences and ideas about how their life could be enhanced through improved services, safer communities and better government.
Members of the Opposition, including Shadow Minister for Mental Health, Drug Abuse, Community Services and Environment and Climate Change Mary Wooldridge and local representatives will discuss ideas with members of the public.
Organisers of the forum, Liberal Candidate for Gembrook, Brad Battin, and Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Edward O’Donohue said that the Coalition was particularly interested in hearing first-hand from local families.
“What this forum aims to do is provide a snapshot of family life and help us work towards shaping a better and safer future for all Victorian families,” Mr Battin said.
“There are many young families in the growth corridor from Pakenham to Berwick, and as the region continues to grow we need to be sure that adequate services are in place for families.”
“Currently there is a lot more that can be done for families and with locals attending the forum we can work towards creating a better Victoria for all families,” Mr O’Donohue said.
Everyone is welcome to attend the forum on Tuesday 20 April at the Lakeview Room, Lakeside Cultural Centre, Pakenham from 1pm to 2.45pm.
