Boy hit in traffic slip

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy is nursing a sore arm after being hit by a car along McGregor Road last week.
At 1.20pm on Wednesday, the boy was standing on his scooter close to the intersection at Rodgers Street waiting to cross the busy road.
The boy, from Frankston, slipped and fell onto the roadway and was struck by a vehicle travelling south.
Pakenham Senior Sergeant Alan McCarthy said it was fortunate that the vehicle was travelling below the speed limit and greater injuries were not received by the boy, who was taken to Dandenong Hospital by ambulance.
“By wiping off 5km/h more lives can be saved and more serious injuries can be prevented,” he said.
