PAKENHAM high school and kindergarten students were evacuated from their classes on Tuesday after a bomb threat was made to the high school.
Acting Senior Sergeant Phil Aitkins said a call, which turned out to be a hoax, was made to the high school about 1.30pm saying that a bomb would go off at a specific time.
“A number of units were sent to the school and we spoke with students and the head master,” Sen Sgt Aitkins said.
“We waited until the specific time and once the area was declared safe both the high school and kindergarten students were able to go back to their classes.”
He said investigations into the hoax call were continuing.
