Bunnings to

ONLY weeks remain before Bunnings opens its doors in Pakenham.
The giant chain’s Pakenham warehouse is nearing completion and will open to the public on Friday 30 October.
More than 120 people from the Pakenham area have been employed to work at the warehouse. This includes qualified plumbers, electricians, carpenters, landscapers, painters, tilers and horticulturalists who will be on hand to offer DIY advice. The $18 million retail development, on the Princes Highway opposite Pakenham’s Lakeside estate, is expected to inject more than $2.5 million into the local economy.
The development includes a kids’ playground, cafe and parking for 365 cars. The warehouse will cover close to 12,000 square metres and stock a wide range of hardware, garden and home improvement products.
