Attraction- packed holidays

GO-KARTING and a trip to video games venue Galactic Circus are among the fun activities available to Pakenham’s youth these school holidays.
Cardinia Council officers are urging children and teens aged between 11 and 16 to book in early for the program, which also includes a movie day at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, a visit to Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre and a trip to Mt Baw Baw.
The excursions cost between $5 and $40.
“The program provides a good opportunity for young people to try out new activities, get to know local youth workers and police youth resource officers as well as mix with other young people,” the council’s youth recreation officer Leonie Olsen said.
“Lots of young people have made new friends through the program.
“There are a number of bus pick-up and drop-off points around the shire to increase the program’s accessibility for young people in isolated townships.”
Bookings for the program close on Tuesday 23 June. For details including booking forms for the excursion program and permission slips check out website www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/youth, or call Cardinia Council’s youth services team on 1300 787 624.
