A BUMPER crowd turned out to Toomuc Reserve on Saturday for the much-anticipated inter-league clash between the Mornington Peninsula Football League (MPNFL) Sharks and the West Gippsland Latrobe Football League.
The MPNFL side included four Pakenham players who helped the Sharks cruise to an 83-point victory.
Pakenham Lions spearhead Daniel Fry was on fire at full-forward slotting six goals, while captain Jared Goldsack was also among the Sharks’ best.
Luke Walker and Beau Wheeler, the other two Pakenham inclusions, were rotated on and off the bench.
Sharks coach Paul Kennedy said the maturity and dedication his troops had shown was first class.
“I thought the standard of football was the best I have seen at inter-league, and certainly the best I have ever coached.”
