OPERATION AEGIS will target drink-driving, speeding, and unroadworthy vehicles over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
Cardinia Traffic Management Unit’s Sergeant Nigel Atkins said the operation, which will run from the morning of Friday 5 June to midnight 8 June, will utilise all available resources.
Holidaymakers travelling on the Cardinia Shire’s main arterial roads and back roads can expect a large police presence.
“This will be an enforcement of a magnitude never seen before,” Sgt Atkins said.
