Students to sign up for holiday activities

AN ARRAY of activities has been organised for Cardinia Shire students these school holidays.
Cardinia Shire Council’s youth recreation officer Leonie Olsen said the activities were suitable for young people aged 11 to 16.
“The program has been very popular for the last two school holidays so young people are encouraged to check out what is on and get signed up as soon as possible,” Ms Olsen said. “Activities these holidays include indoor rock climbing in Melbourne, a trip to Geelong Adventure Water Park, ice skating, laser skirmish and a visit to Galactic Circus.”
The excursions cost between $5 and $40. Victoria Police and Connections Youth Services support Cardinia Shire Council’s Youth Services team to provide this holiday program. “Bus pick-ups at points around the shire are also organised to make the program accessible wherever you live,” Ms Olsen said.
For more information including booking forms, permission slips and bus timetable, check out website www.cardinia.vic.gov.au or call Cardinia Shire Council’s youth services team on 1300 787 624.
