Minister is top of class

EDUCATION Minister Bronwyn Pike popped into Pakenham Springs Primary School yesterday (Wednesday).
Ms Pike officially awarded the school community with a Performance and Development Culture in Schools accreditation.
The initiative recognises schools for having effective induction programs, multiple sources of feedback for teachers, customised individual teacher development plans and quality professional development, which lead to excellence in teacher quality.
Peter Dawkins, the Secretary for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Training, and Ms Pike conducted a ceremony in the school hall to mark the school’s accreditation.
It is the third time Ms Pike has visited Pakenham Springs Primary School since it opened its doors at the beginning of last year.
