Flying feat- Grade 4 students Megan Marson and Alana Bennett run towards the finish line. 278

PAKENHAM Consolidated School students hit the turf running for a whole-school cross-country event last Friday.
Pupils from grades Prep to 6 represented their respective houses in the annual event.
Bourke House came out on top followed by Thomas, Henty and Hicks houses.
Students who ran the fastest in Friday’s event will go on to compete in the school’s district cross-country team.
Pakenham Consolidated School is home to some talented runners – Jessica Cox and Carlee Bailey, both in Grade 6, last year competed in the state finals. Jessica has represented the school at national level for the last two years.
Physical education teacher Adam Wight said students would begin training for the district event from next week.
