THE Cardinia Shire Kids and Farmers raceday will be held at Pakenham Racecourse on Saturday.
There will be many free activities and entertainment to keep the children occupied for hours, while adults can relax with family and friends, enjoy a picnic and take in the raceday action.
Gazette character Wally Wombat will be under the tote offering children tattoos and lollies.
Pakenham Fire Brigade and Police will be on course with a display of their vehicles.
Activities include a bungee trampoline, jumping castle, giant slide, horse-racing simulator, games from Camp Australia and running on the home straight.
The giant screen on course will show live racing from Pakenham, the big Magic Millions meeting on the Gold Coast and Caulfield.
Feature races at Pakenham will include the Cardinia Shire Cup, the P.B. Ronald Memorial and the Brother O’Malley Memorial, and the Pakenham Gazette Handicap.
Gates will open at 10.30am and kids’ activities begin at noon. Admission for adults is $12, concession is $9 and kids under 17 accompanied by an adult will be admitted free.
