OUTLOOK’S past clients can now be remembered thanks to a memorial which was unveiled at the disability service provider on Friday.
A large crowd gathered at the organisation’s headquarters to witness McMillan MP Russell Broadbent and Outlook president Lou Van Dewrsen cut the ribbon to officially open the memorial which features plaques to honour former clients who have died.
Mr Broadbent said it was a great honour as a former member of the Outlook board to officially open the memorial.
“It’s sad in one respect… but on the other hand it allows us to remember how important those families were to this community,” he said.
Outlook chief executive Anne McCormick said the memorial was a special inclusion to Outlook, made possible through donations from the Pakenham Op Shop and the work of members from the Men’s Shed program.
