Chill out with hot winter fun

LAKESIDE residents will soon have little time to chill when the Winter Hotspots Festival comes to town.
The development will host a variety of free activities for people of all ages, including a circus workshop, yoga sessions, footy clinic, a jazz afternoon and an art and craft session.
Lakeside Pakenham project director Sharon Coates said the festival would be action-packed this year, with a huge turnout of people from across Melbourne expected.
“We’ve planned a festival that will appeal to all ages and we hope everyone can come by and see why we are one of the most popular communities in Victoria,” she said.
The Winter Hotspots Festival will run from 28 June to 31 July.
Activity details:
– Circus workshop at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, Saturday 28 June from 10am to noon.
– Yoga sessions at the Cardinia Cultural Centre on Thursday 3and 31 July from 6.15pm to 7.15pm
– Footy clinic at Toomuc Reserve on Sunday 6 July from 10am to noon.
– Painting workshop at the Cardinia Cultural Centre on Saturday 12 July from 10am to noon.
– Display village frenzy, Display Village on Botanic Drive, Lakeside on Saturday 19 July from 11am to 2pm.
– Jazz Afternoon at Cafe Bella Cuccina on Sunday 27 July from 3pm to 6pm.
Reservations are essential for the circus workshop, yoga sessions and painting workshop and can be made by calling the Delfin Lakeside sales and information centre on 5941 6000.
