Holiday activities set

ROCK climbing, laser skirmish and a netball clinic are just some of the activities on offer in the upcoming Cardinia Shire school holiday program.
Youth services coordinator Emma Firth said the school holidays would be packed with a range of activities for young people aged 11 to 16 in Cardinia Shire.
To start the holidays on Monday 30 June there is a trip to Melbourne Indoor Rock Climbing for a cost of $15.
On Tuesday 1 July the team is heading to play laser skirmish (cost $35) in Upper Beaconsfield.
On Thursday 3 July a netball clinic will be held at Cardinia Life with former Melbourne Phoenix and current Melbourne Fury player Sam Holt (cost $5).
To finish the week on a sporty note, there will be a trip to Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (cost $5) on Friday 4 July.
“The following week is just as full of great holiday activity options to choose from,” Ms Firth said.
The popular trip to Sidetracked takes place on Monday 7 July (cost $35) and there is an outing to the Melbourne Aquarium on Wednesday 9 July (cost $15).
The school holiday program will finish with a trip to Mt Baw Baw on Thursday 10 July. Cost of $35 includes toboggan hire.
Cardinia Shire Council youth services, with the support of Connections and Pakenham police, is running the school holiday program.
There are a range of bus pick-up and drop-off points across Cardinia Shire with the exception of the snow trip and netball clinic where participants will be required to meet in Pakenham.
Bookings close on Thursday 19 June.
