Roll up for ride day

CHILDREN pedalled to class yesterday (Wednesday) as part of National Ride2School Day.
Cardinia shire mayor Bill Ronald opted for a push bike rather than his famous penny farthing when he visited Pakenham Springs Primary School to promote the initiative.
The Australia-wide program encourages children to be more active by riding, walking, skating or scootering to school.
Local police attended Pakenham Consolidated School and Kooweerup Primary School as part of the initiative while Cardinia Shire councillor Graeme Legge visited Emerald Primary School.
St James Primary School in Nar Nar Goon and Garfield and Beaconsfield primary schools also participated.
